AnD4D - Laser Eye Surgery - Day 1

I decided to vlog the few days of and after my surgery, so other people might have more of an idea on what to expect.

@badjoj015 It took around 5 - 10 minutes total. I was awake the whole time. Fun!
@badjoj015 The drops that paralysed my eye tickled, and I wouldn’t say the clamps were too comfortable. Also, I tried looking away during the lazer cus it felt weird. The machine automatically shuts off when it notices a slip, so it’s all good.
How long did the operation took for you?
Were there anything that tickled your eye?
@badjoj015
1. £395 per eye
2. They put something under my eye lips (clamp?). I didn’t really see it, but they paralysed my eye first, so I couldn’t really feel it.
3.I was effectively blind for 3 days, barely able to see for 1 week, could see perfectly after 2 weeks.
Most painful thing I’ve ever had in my life, but also the best. I would do it again.
3 questions:
1. How much did it cost?
2. How did they prevent u from blinking when the surgery was going on?
3. When did it last? days? weeks? months?
I think I am going to go for the same one you went for…Epi-Lasik surgery.
Dont fancy people putting sharp objects near my eyes.
Around 5 minutes. Really, it was so fast. Just took ages to get better. If I took the more expensive option, it would have been fixed the next day.
So how long did the procedure take when the had you in the machine.
Rated 5 Star very helpful
It cost me £395 per eye, so £790. Afterwards, they gave me a voucher to get £500 voucher to give to people who I recommend :)
What was the cost of the surgery?
You look like andrea bocelli at about 2:03. How is your singing voice? Seriously you’ve got a lot of guts. Glad you have recovered.
No, apparently the more expensive ones are more risky because they actually cut a flap in the eyes. You heal faster (next day apparently), but there’s more risk of infection, etc.
cool , and i suppose expensive surgery is less risky
It wasn’t too bad, but I couldn’t read license plates while driving, nor read anything over a metre away. Now it’s alllllllllllll good ^^
*High five!!!*
cool , don’t fuck your vision up again lol .
how badly was it before the surgery?
that’s awesome that you’re without glasses!! internet high five!!
With an estimated 96% final vision of 20-20, it doesn’t seem to risky to me. 4% chance it’ll be worse… I took the risk, and I guess I was one of the lucky ones.
I had the Epi-Lasik surgery, the cheapest, and surprisingly safest procedure. No cuts, no infections. Just a HUGE amount of pain on the first day! :)
I heard its really risky
Thank you very much. This video was filmed around 12 days ago, and I’m now sat across the room typing to you without glasses, and it’s great! I’ll keep posting the progress, so subscribe if you’d like to see it :)
Thanks again!
I’ve been thinking about getting laser but oh my gosh, after seeing your eyes tear up like that I started to tear up myself and now I’m just crying haha!! oh no!! hope you start to feel better soon!! dark room for you!! and also these five stars :)
