BANGALORE: Under its project “Makkala Nethra Jyothi,” ORBIS, a global non-governmental organisation, and the Bangalore West Lions Super-specialty Eye Hospital have conducted eye surgeries on about 500 underprivileged children in Bangalore and its neighbouring districts.
Of the targeted 1.5 lakh children below the age of 16 years, the project has so far screened nearly 90,000.
