This world is crude, ugly, and disdainful most all the time; but every now and then there are beautiful things, things we live and strive for. If I can’t see those few beauties this world has to offer, as clearly as they where once before, if I have to see things behind glass. I sincerely would much rather die.

I know plenty of people who have had this surgery with, incuding myself, with no ill effects, and have achieved better than perfect vision. I am very sad that your surgery did not go according to plan, however, my surgeon outlined the risks and gave me a realistic success percentage based on my personal prescription and corneal thickness. I dont you should be putting people off this potetially life changing procedure.
Just ensure you trust the surgical team and know the risks.
it is so sad that some of us have been totally ruined by this surgery and can’t do much else but vent on the net. hopefully i can influence some people against this surgery the risks are too great and your lasik doc won’t be honest with you about them.

could you see in the dark after all you said your eyes where sensitive in the light.
My only question is this: How did you keep your eye so still? Mine would be moving around frantically.
My brother tells me laser surgey is the best money he’s ever spent and that eye should get it, but I’ve always been too pussy!

Keon Nia and the rest of the docs at LasikMD are the worst of them all, they are the bargain basement lasik company.
after lasik, I can’t work, can’t play, can’t enjoy life anymore, its the worst decision I made and many more people will unfortunately make it in the future.

i had it done in july 09 and has been the best thing i could have ever done. if you have contacts or specs and rely on them go for it. unconforatable yes, painful no, relative discomfort to the spot on sight i have now - no contest
It’s actually a bit of the cornea that is cut and pulled back so that they can adjust the underlying tissue to refract light correctly.

flap is the part of skin on your eye they lean back to work on your lense…they call it flap to describe which part gets cut open and can get reopened again at any time in a surgery.
